The Center’s student lounge in 101 Curry Student Center has tables, chairs, and computers for studying, small group meetings, and socializing. Programs and events sponsored by the Center and affiliated student organizations are regularly held in 101.
The space is open 9am-7pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-5pm Friday while classes are in session, and 9am-5pm all other weekdays. Coffee and snacks are available every Tuesday 11am-1pm for the weekly Coffee Hour. Stop by the Center to see all that our space has to offer!
The LGBTQA Resource Center has a second space in 328 Curry Student Center that houses staff offices and our lending library. This space is ideal for smaller meetings, confidential conversations with staff, and browsing through our collection of films, books, magazines, and information on local resources.
The Annex space is open 9am-5pm weekdays.
The LGBTQA Resource Center’s Annex has a growing library of books, magazines, and videos for students, faculty or staff to borrow and utilize.
The full inventory of our books can be found at our Library Thing. It is a searchable database, although we can’t yet indicate whether a book has been checked out or not. To borrow a book, come to the Center with your Northeastern ID, and you can sign a book out for two weeks.
We have a small collection of DVDs that individuals may watch in the resource center. We do not have permission to show these videos publicly, which means you cannot borrow them to show to an organization or use for a program. However, if you wish to watch them on your own or with a small group inside the Center, you’re more than welcome to do so.
You can also find LGBTQA+ related films on Kanopy Streaming services through the University Library website. All of these films can be shown in classes and for groups.
