Grad Q

GRAD Q IS A NEW STUDENT ORGANIZATION THAT SEEKS TO BUILD COMMUNITY AMONG LGBTQ GRAD STUDENTS.

We are also interested in collaborating with undergraduate groups to support their events, and also in providing mentoring and networking opportunities to undergrads who want to learn more about grad school. AfroSpectrum

AFROSPECTRUM IS A STUDENT GROUP FOR BLACK LGBTQ+ COLLEGE STUDENTS NEAR NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY.

AfroSpectrum is a affinity group that “strived to create a community that serves as a resource and safe space for Black, LGBTQ+ college students in Boston.” AfroSpectrum’s general body meetings are every other Sunday at 5pm EST. Out in STEM (oSTEM)

OSTEM IS NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY’S CHAPTER OF OSTEM

oSTEM a national organization that supports LGBTQIA+ STEM students in leadership endeavors, professional skill development, and networking with other queer STEM students and professionals. Meetings happen on Wednesdays 7-8pm. Not out on Facebook but still want to keep up with oSTEM news and events? Email us at to be added to a secret Facebook group (invisible to everyone except members).

NU Pride

NU PRIDE IS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION AT NORTHEASTERN FOR THE SPECTRUM OF SEXUAL AND GENDER ORIENTATIONS AND EXPRESSIONS.

It is one of the school’s most visible and active student groups. Through its many activities, including hosting dinner discussion groups, sending students to regional events sponsored by organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders, and organizing educational programs about queer issues, the group provides support and resources for the entire community. Queer Caucus

THE QUEER CAUCUS (QC) IS HOUSED WITHIN THE SCHOOL OF LAW, IS COMPRISED OF GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL AND TRANSGENDER STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF, AND THEIR ALLIES.

We are also interested in collaborating with undergraduate groups to support their events, and also in providing mentoring and networking opportunities to undergrads who want to learn more about grad school. Out in Business (OiB)

OUT IN BUSINESS (OIB) IS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION IN THE D’AMORE MCKIM SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBTQ+ AND OUR ALLIES.

Our initiatives are to provide those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and our allies with a safe place within the business school, a supportive community, an opportunity to network with business professionals from the greater Boston area and their respective affinity groups, resources for experiential learning, and much more. AFFINITY GROUPS

and aromantic sa-The LGBTQA Resource Center sponsors a number of student affinity groups that are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. These are generally smaller, more informal groups that are not recognized as official groups by the SGA or GSG. For recognized student groups, please visit this page. Active Groups – Spring 2022

Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming Identities

The group is open to students who identify as transgender, gender nonconforming, genderqueer, agender, pangender, bigender, two-spirit, and other non-cisgender identities as well as those who might be questioning their gender identity.

A-Space (Asexual/Aromantic Spectrum)

A-Space is a student-run affinity group that meets monthly to socialize and discuss asexual and aromantic spectrum identities. This space is designed for those who claim asexual or aromantic spectrum identities or are wanting to learn more.

JQ@NU (Jewish Queers)

Access Pride

Access Pride is a group dedicated to celebrating the intersectionality of the queer & disabled experience. We are open to LGBTQIA and questioning students with disabilities, complex medical conditions, and chronic illnesses.
