QUEST (Queer Understandings of Equity and Social Transformation) is a leadership development program informed by histories of LGBTQIA2S+ community organizing in the United States, with an appreciation for the transnational character of much of that organizing. This QUEST Retreat continues our Foodways, Roots, and Climate Justice series which seeks to provoke new reflections on climate justice rooted in diasporic and Indigenous LGBTQIA2S+ cultures, histories, and political insights. We will explore topics through a combination of discussion, presentations, and reflections on the work of LGBTQIA2S+ leadership from community leaders, artist-activists, academics, and significant figures from LGBTQIA2S+ history.
